The Military Costume of Turkey (12) Framed Prints

Published in London by Thomas McLean in 1818, with illustrations by John Heaviside Clark and Octavien d’Alvimart, this work documents Ottoman military dress on the eve of sweeping reforms.

The volume comprises of hand-colored aquatint plates portraying Janissaries, cavalry, and senior officials in richly detailed uniforms.
